The zodiac sign of Leo is ruled by the Sun, the giver of light and life. It’s not by chance that in the Northern hemisphere Leo season is the height of summer, the time the Sun is at its strongest.
Often said to be the King or Queen of the zodiac Leo certainly brings an air of regalness with it. As the Sun shines its warming and uplifting vibes down on you, so will Leo.
The sign of Leo rules the heart and when in its highest vibration is full of love, loyalty and enthusiasm. Leo shines, not always in the best ways, but when self-esteem is strong and confidence is high Leo will shine their light on you, be your biggest fan and your most loyal friend, they love nothing more than seeing the people they love happy and shining brightly.
The desire to be seen and appreciated can leave Leo vulnerable to false praise and therefore manipulation through this. Pride can be a strong Leo trait and if left unchecked can lead to a fixedness and an inability to see things from an objective perspective, it tends to be very personal with Leo. If the pride is dented in some way it can feel like an arrow to the heart, feeling like a fool can really knock Leo, like a punch to the gut! The gift within these experiences for Leo is that of humbleness.
Leo can sometimes think that it is helping others to shine, lifting others up, but can forget to check if this is actually what the other person wants, or are they simply taking that person on an unwanted ride, and as a result not helping them at all?
Leo brings an energy of playfulness, bold playfulness, and likes to be seen, appreciated and loved for who it truly is. This isn't just on an egotistical level but also at a soul level. Self-expression is strongly related to the sign of Leo, as therefore is creativity. This can manifest in art, writing, or drama to name a few things. Generosity is one of Leo’s gifts, as is their warmth. Their support of their friends and loved ones, both emotionally and physically, can be counted on and is one of the reasons they are loved by many.
Leo has the ability to ignite confidence, and coupled with their charm can make an extremely inspiring leader. Bravery and courage are words that come to mind when I think of Leo, the feeling of stepping into your power, into your sovereignty. Being brave or courageous can mean many different things for different people but the energy is the same, it’s that “F*!K YES” energy!
All that said and the bravado aside Leo is quite an emotional energy, often operating in extremes. Love can quickly turn to hate and back again, elation to depression then back to elation again. This is where the childlike energy can be seen.
During Leo season why not channel your inner Leo and bring about the courage to try something new, something you’ve thought about but have been too scared to try? Maybe revisit what “creativity” means to you? Are there areas in your life where you would benefit from listening to your heart rather than your head?
Leo thinks you’re amazing, do you?
With soul,
Paula
